Harry Winston
Harry Winston was a man of many brilliant facets, much like the rare gemstones and precious jewels he built his life around. An innate gemologist, an intuitive businessman, a dedicated philanthropist, and perhaps the ultimate risk-taker, Mr. Winston founded his namesake business in New York City in 1932, with an unwavering commitment to rare jewels of the world.
Since then, the company has upheld its reputation for the ultimate in fine jewelry and high-end watchmaking, with exceptional collections that push creative bounds and transcend time and generations.
As the undisputed “King of Diamonds,” Mr. Winston’s creative philosophy – in which the individual gemstones, rather than their metal settings would dictate each jewelry design – helped to revolutionize modern-day fine jewelry and remains as the cornerstone for all Winston designs today. This same pioneering spirit led to the debut of Harry Winston Timepieces in 1989, bridging the House’s fine jewelry expertise with the art of fine watchmaking.
From headline-making tales about the acquisition of some of the world’s most famous gemstones – including the legendary Hope, Jonker, Lesotho and Winston Legacy diamonds – to adorning Hollywood’s leading ladies and members of international Royalty, for over eight decades, Harry Winston has been a symbol of the best there is and one of the most recognizable names in the jewelry industry.
In 2010, inspired by Mr. Winston’s commitment to philanthropy, Harry Winston, Inc. launched The Harry Winston Brilliant Futures™ Charitable Program, which supports leading organizations throughout its worldwide salon communities.
Today, the House operates more than 40 salons worldwide and continues its tradition of creativity, rarity, and quality without compromise.
