E-Commerce Website & Online Retail Specialist

Job description

The E-Commerce Website and Online Retail Specialist is responsible for e-commerce for the corporate Tissot website in all aspects of the business, including development of our national 3rd party retailers such as the Bay, Amazon, department stores, and independent jewelers . This is a hands-on role managing, supporting and growing existing corporate e-commerce sales through marketing, e-merchandising techniques and ensuring the best premium experience for customers and visitors. They will also be responsible for executing global digital marketing activities at a local scope.


As online retail is more and more a major channel in terms of brand visibility and revenue, this specialist ensures a qualitative evolution of our brand based on scoping, building, developing, controlling and reporting this part of the business activity. They will be in charge of the opening and developing activities and tasks, being the single point of contact for the online retail HQ team members, and collaborating with different departments of Tissot (Sales, Marketing, Legal, Logistic, IT, etc.).


They will be an active member part of the Tissot Online Retail community, with a high level of competence and knowledge and work closely with
the Brand Manager and the E-commerce HQ team.

Profile

Online Store Operations:

 

  • Responsibility and ownership of the Tissot e-commerce website and the e-commerce P&L.
  • E-merchandising: animation plan definition, ensuring consistency between marketing campaigns and website highlights, product launches (Home Page, landing Page, brands and products assets), optimization of the product e-merchandising, management of e-commerce activation.
  • Be a project leader on the rollout of new features. (Needs definition, business value definition, legal & contract, project follow-up, testing and configurations)
  • Be responsible for website quality, ensuring the phasis test before releasing in production.
    Website content: be in charge of translation and content contribution.
  • Fulfilment and Logistics: oversee and coordinate with the fulfilment and shipping team to ensure the flow of product to customers is efficiently accomplished, manage returned product and disposition, and identify and act on inventory depletion and replenishment.
    Ensure a premium global customer experience (including shipping packaging, post purchase experience, shipping methods, and return process.)
  • Forecast: compile and analyze key performance indicators (KPI’s) to forecast needs, control inventory and ensure replenishment needs are met.
  • Ensure clear communication with HQ e-commerce about needs and results.
  • Be an active member of the e-commerce specialist community, sharing best practices and local initiatives.
  • Benchmark: to be informed that the competitors initiatives and current market best practices and innovation. (E-commerce & digital marketing)
  • Monitor on a daily basis of the e-commerce activity and product performances.
  • Report on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis for e-commerce activity

Digital Marketing:

  • Execute global digital marketing activities, promotions and campaigns to maximize gross margin contribution.
  • Prepare newsletter email for regular distribution, create and manage mailing lists.
  • Collaborate with the Digital marketing HQ Team for the performance campaign strategy (paid search, retargeting, display, social media).
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance on a monthly basis
  • Adapt and deploy digital assets to your local needs
  • Coordinate digital assets and new product launches with HQ team
  • Liaison with IT, Finance and other teams to manage agency relationships and campaign budgets
  • Collaborate with Brand Manager to measure results from media campaigns & potential effectiveness for future campaigns.
  • Own the relationship with external agencies to track, report and improve campaign performance

Customer Service Management:

  • Support e-commerce customer service operations.
  • Document and optimize customer service processes.

Sales:

  • Collaborate with Tissot sales team on product strategy.
  • Provide business analysis and track sellout in Tissot systems.
  • Support sales team with inventory management.
  • Manage relationships with third-party retailers.

Marketing and Brand Visibility:

  • Ensure Tissot's visibility and brand guidelines on third-party websites.
  • Provide digital assets and optimize content sharing.
  • Participate in marketing investment strategy on third-party platforms.

Project Management:

  • Lead key projects in collaboration with HQ.
  • Propose and manage digital marketing projects.
  • Coordinate online retail projects globally.
  • Manage legal aspects and brand guidelines with third parties.

Professional requirements

This is an in-office role that requires a passion for digital on line retail market, technical expertise and discipline, along with excellent communication and coordination skills and a proactive attitude.

  • 4 year College degree, Business, Marketing or similar field preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in e-Commerce role; experience in luxury accessories/jewelry preferred. 2 years of Email marketing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Magento or other e-commerce platform
  • Understanding of the back office management with all the payment process through a PSP (Payment service provider) and an acquirer.
  • Demonstrates understanding of best practices in online marketing including: paid search, SEO, email and database marketing, affiliate marketing and e-commerce
  • Experience of agency management
  • Familiar with Google analytics or equivalent
  • Analytical and data driven mindset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively cross functionally with Marketing, Product Development, Customer Service, IT and Global Headquarters to drive initiatives
