Job description

As a Sales Associate with Longines, the position will responsible for or demonstrating outstanding customer service as per Brand standards, generate sales, merchandise and safeguard company assets. You will be expected to help client outreach initiatives, build brand awareness, assist in daily operations of the store. All positions support and assists management team in achieving all customer service and sales goals initiatives. You will the brand, inside and outside the boutique.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide a unique and special experience to all clients
  • Reach & exceed your sales goals
  • Maintain and grow existing clients; keep records of milestones and client’s tastes and goals for future purchases
  • Assist in sales process as per established store protocols
  • Communicate customer requests to management.
  • Assist in the submission of daily reports and sales reconciliation reports
  • Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring counter stock.
  • Develop existing client base and reach new prospects through networking and outreach
  • Actively participate in merchandising projects, ie: daily stock maintenance, display changeovers, product transfers, etc…
  • Provide superior after-sale service to all clients
  • Provide the highest level of client service through personalized contact in product maintenance
  • Use product knowledge and selection to provide exceptional service and build customer relationships
  • Team-oriented
  • Actively support securing company assets through effective Loss Prevention in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Greet customers in a timely, professional and personable manner
  • Actively maintain the store appearance including keeping merchandise neatly organized and attractively displayed.
  • All other duties assigned by Management

 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Must have High School Diploma and/or equivalent
  • Must possess a strong luxury retail jewelry and time piece experience
  • All applicants should have 3-5 years of experience in a sales position, specialty luxury retail preferred
  • Driven to deliver superior service by exceeding customer expectations
  • Able to work well as a team player in a very fast-paced, energetic environment
  • Able to achieve sales goals and be goal oriented
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Be a self-starter and use good judgment in all situations
  • Must be able to work well as a team player in a fast-paced, energetic environment
  • Must be able to sustain level of professionalism; friendly demeanor;
  • The ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff
  • Clientele building skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate basic computer literacy
  • Flexible to retail working hours including availability on weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities
  • Able to work well with minimal supervision; self-starter
  • Bilingual is a plus

Professional requirements

Physical Requirements

This is primarily an active position, which requires the Sales Associate to have the ability to stand approximately 5 – 8 hours per day usually 3 – 5 days per week. During peak sale periods (e.g. Holiday, Back-to-School), will work for long periods throughout a 1 – 12 hour day. Requires stooping and kneeling to place merchandise on storage racks. May be required to climb ladder or ascend/descend stairs in order to stock and/or acquire merchandise for sale. Required to lift items weighing 5 – 25 lbs regularly without assistance. In certain circumstances, weights may be higher. Required to work an average of 40 hours per week. operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is $15-$19 per hour depending on experience. Commission is also part of the compensation for this role.
