Job description
• Coordinate distribution-related activities with personnel
• Track department activity statistics; generate reports for Management
• Develop skills of staff and provide motivation and guidance by reviewing performance and providing feedback in a timely manner
• Inform Management of developing trends in the area, and perform other related activities/special projects as assigned
Profile
The Supervisor will oversee daily activities in the assigned functional area to meet departmental productivity, quality and service goals and objectives. Individual will run day-to-day operations for the assigned area; prioritize, assign, and review work; and monitor departmental resources and equipment. Assist as backup and general support throughout the operation specifically in Distribution and Inventory Management.
Professional requirements
• Minimum one year of supervisory distribution experience in jewelry, watches, cosmetic, or sunglasses wholesaling
• Experienced with WMS; SAP is a preference
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Skype, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Independently manage tasks/projects within the operation
• Fluent with professional English communication: both verbal and written. Bilingual Spanish is a plus
• High degree of organization and follow-through
• Team player, positive attitude with co-workers and high attention to detail. Able to multi-task, works well under pressure and meets deadlines.
• Ideal candidate should be able walk up steps, kneel, speak, hear, bend, reach, lift, and move for an extended period as well as lift up to 25 lbs.
