Brand Controller
As an Brand Controller with Swatch Group, U.S., the position will be mid-level position responsible for monitoring, facilitating and supporting Brands in their departmental financial needs, including but not limited to, business analysis, lease database, retail construction cost controlling, inventory analysis, approval of internal orders and identify weaknesses and suggest ways of correcting and improving processes. The Brand Controller acts as a Partner and has interaction with all department managers and supervisors. The Brand Controller is responsible for ensuring compliance with Group policies and accounting standard and coordinating with brands and other Service Center departments to ensure execution of tasks.
This position is an on-site position in Miami, Fl.
Profile
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Review, pre-validate, and set up Internal Orders in SAP. Ensure correct accounting treatment, validate supporting documentation, and monitor budgeted amounts in order to comply with HQ policies and budgets.
- Provide timely and accurate Reporting packages and monthly analyses related to the monthly close.
- Act as Finance partner to Brands in various scenarios.
- Support Wholesale/Retail divisions in administrative/financial processes to ensure compliance to Group’s policies.
- Assist Accounting in Monthly Close process by provide correct accruals and key figures related to marketing.
- Reviewing and validating COOP agreements for concerned brands.
- Coordination and documentation for evaluating new retail locations, retail development process (LNR, CER), make sure the deadlines are followed and respected, budgets followed, ensure proper communication with Brands HQ’s, Retail investment coordinators, Heads of Retail and Management
- Support and pre-evaluate business plans (short-term & long-term) to provide analytical information to management for decision making.
- Participate in maintenance and development of corporate lease database.
- Answer Brands HQ questions to reporting by analyzing and understanding brand P&Ls.
- Conduct cost analysis, ratio and trend analysis and other comparative examinations as defined by Controlling Director
- Independently perform monthly margin and P&L analysis in order to identify irregularities and trends.
- Take on and independently carry out Ad Hoc analysis as set out by Controlling Director.
- Work with brands to ensure that watch consignment is correct and properly maintained.
- Coordinate technical solutions, inventory handling, and communication between IT-Controlling-Accounting-Logistics-Brands-LP in off-site special sales events.
- Recommend to the management corrective measures or additional measures to be taken.
- Participate in various cross division projects to provide the process / control related advice.

Professional requirements
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required;
- Minimum 3 -5 years of experience in a middle size or large size corporate accounting role required
- Must be proficiency with the financial system SAP
- Thorough knowledge of accounting and finance principles
- Flexible to adjust to changes in responsibilities, procedures, or working conditions
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
- Must possess strong analytical skills;
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong learning ability and problem solving skills
- Intermediate or advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP and high level functions
- Strong time management skills and ability to be both effective and efficient in work
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
