Biel / Bienne (Switzerland), January 10, 2008 – The Swatch Group Ltd takes over H. Moebius & Sohn.

The Swatch Group is taking over with immediate effect the business activities of the company H. Moebius & Sohn, owned by Gallian & Cie and headquartered in Allschwil.

For decades, Moebius has been supplying the watch industry with products including classic and synthetic oils, lubricants and epilam coatings (surface treatments for watch components). Moebius products are used in mechanical watch movements. The takeover is ensuring that the expertise built up by Moebius is retained and can be built upon in the long term.

The Swatch Group will continue to offer and to supply products to existing Moebius customers via the current distribution partners.
