Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton
MAKE THE CITY YOUR WILDERNESS
With so much of humanity now living in cities, great explorers have begun to turn their bold curiosity to predominantly urban environments; the world's cities have become a fair bit greener, quieter, more colourful and human. The latest version of the famous Rado Captain Cook timepiece returns with elegant PVD rose-gold detailing, to tell of metropolitan jungles rather than misty palm forests, shades of an urban dawn on a backdrop of towers and architecture.
Wearing rich and evocative olive tones, the new Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton shows, rather conclusively, that some of the best adventure occurs right where most people live, at the heart of the modern metropolis. At ease in every facet of your explorations, in daytime, midday or through an endless night, this very iconic timepiece brings outstanding Rado precision and reliability to accompany your busy journey.
Though completely comfortable in rubber-strap attire, the new Captain Cook also features a superb triple-row bracelet completely crafted from Rado high-tech ceramic. It is the perfect complement to its monobloc ceramic case, the latter topped by a warm, bright rose-gold-coloured PVD treated stainless-steel rotatable bezel. A further touch of olive colour is tastefully added, with a further high-tech ceramic insert, inside the bezel, next to the signature box-shaped sapphire crystal glass, with antireflective treatment both inside and out, to keep things clear. The great navigators of former times would have appreciated the large, handsome hands and markers, highlighted by white, easy-to-read Super-LumiNova® treatment, perfect for any low-light conditions.
Inside, a state-of-the-art R808 25-jewel, three-hand automatic movement keeps an explorer's discoveries on time with impeccable reliability and precision, thanks to an antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring and superlative Rado construction. The movement is tested in a full five positions and provides up to 80 hours of power reserve, so that even worldly explorers can count on a few days of rest before yielding to their next adventure.
The flip side of the new Captain Cook is equipped with a circular-brushed titanium case back with an additional sapphire crystal, for a glance into the finer workings of the timepiece, through its skeleton movement and beyond that lovely, trademark oscillating anchor symbol. The high-tech ceramic case, screw-down crown and typical Rado quality assembly provide water resistance up to 30 bar (300m). In either the sportier and slightly more casual green rubber-strap version, or the exquisitely-finished olive-green high-tech ceramic triple-row bracelet version, with titanium three-fold clasp and twin-pushbutton closure, your new skeleton automatic will remain with you through the most rugged, demanding explorations, a reliable ally in tropical and urban jungles, as your own unique lifestyle demands.
