MIDO MULTIFORT 8 TWO CROWNS

INSPIRED BY TECHNOMETRY
The perfect blend of TECHNOLOGY and GEOMETRY, MIDO redefines the codes and elevates Multifort into a new dimension: the TECHNOMETRY. With its octagonal bezel, this visionary sports model with clean, powerful lines revisits a unique MIDO function: the rotating flange activated by a second crown located at 2 o'clock. Time, materials and watchmaking expertise, infinitely merge, with elegance and precision.
Thanks to the excellence of MIDO's expertise, the Multifort 8 Two Crowns fully embraces its avant-garde aesthetic and distinctive personality, which it owes to strong identity codes. A dial decorated with horizontal lines, an octagonal bezel on a classic case and two eight-sided crowns. In a nod to diver's watches, the rotating flange - activated by the crown at 2 o'clock - allows the time to be counted down without the risk of mishandling. A technical achievement that perfectly illustrates MIDO's watchmaking innovation and timeless vision – this function first appeared in the brand's catalogue in 2002 with the All Dial Diver, and then in 2013 with the Multifort Two Crowns. At the heart of this audacious sporty watch is a latest-generation Swiss mechanical movement that measures time with precision. The Caliber 72 is known for its remarkable reliability, thanks to a power reserve of up to 72 hours and a high-tech Nivachron™ balance spring. With the Multifort 8 Two Crowns, the fields of exploration are multiplied, just like the eight sides of its bezel – the number that represents infinity.
Geometric detail
Forged from the finest materials, the new Multifort 8 Two Crowns boasts an assertive character and formidable power. On its subtly worked matt black dial, the magnificent reliefs of a horizontal motif create a dazzling play of light. The “recessed” indexes - round and trapezoidal on the quarter-hours - create a three-dimensional effect, like the perimeter of the dial. Against this intense backdrop, the display indications stand out in white. Super-LumiNova® ensures that the indexes and hour and minute hands are perfectly legible. The date appears at 3 o'clock – a useful function for day-to-day use. An internal rotating bezel completes this efficient display. Operated by a dedicated crown at 2 o'clock, this calibrated 60-minute flange can be used to count down the time. This rare function, inspired by diver's watches, is making a comeback at MIDO. This sporty face is topped by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment on both sides for optimal readability.
But it is the Multifort 8 Two Crown's bezel that really sets it apart. With a great finesse in execution, this time it features eight polished facets, contrasted with a satin-finish. The brilliance of the stainless steel extends through the case and bracelet, whose links with their geometric surfaces create a dance of multiple reflections. On the sides, the two crowns treated with black PVD echo the dial.
Precision technology
Remarkable right down to its gears, the Multifort 8 Two Crowns beats to the rhythm of the Caliber 72, renowned for its exceptional slimness. Carefully crafted and decorated, this latest-generation Swiss movement is revealed through the model's transparent case back. It offers an extended power reserve of up to 72 hours and formidable accuracy. A Nivachron™ balance spring guarantees exceptional resistance to magnetism and shocks for exemplary reliability to meet the challenges of everyday life, now and into the future.
Multifort 8 Two Crowns is also available in a stainless steel version with a matt blue dial and a rubber strap with reliefs in the same colour.
