In addition to its official partnerships with MotoGP, FIM Superbike, FIBA, AFL, and CBA, the World Championships of Cycling, Fencing and Ice Hockey that entrust their timekeeping and data handling to the Swiss watchmaker, Tissot has already been the Official Timekeeper of the Asian Games in 1998, 2002 as well as 2006. Tissot President, François Thiébaud stated «The Asian Games reflect the Tissot spirit perfectly by its diversity and the incredible dynamism it projects. We are proud to be able to demonstrate our skills at such an incredible event, which allows us to showcase our abilities in many different ways. It also allows us to prove ourselves as timekeeping requires the most accurate measurement and further confirms the quality of our watches. We have already provided the Asian Games with our services before so we know and have what it takes. However, we strive to bring even more precision and innovation on every occasion, and to keep improving this essential element, which plays a leading role in the success of the Games, as we do with all our watches. “Innovators by tradition” is our motto and we stand by it.»

Active involvement in all of these sports brings the brand closer to fans all over the world, whether they are watching live, on television or taking part in the action by wearing one of the associated special edition watches which Tissot will produce in honour of this impressive event.

Tissot and the IAGOC are going to be working hand in hand for the next few years with the help of the many volunteers and partners without whom none of the Games would be able to take place. Tissot has the greatest of admiration for the people they work with. Together, they will organize the vital services and ensure the smooth running of all of the challenges of the 17th Asian Games Incheon in 2014.

The Asian Games will definitely be an event to be proud of. Whether it is for the ones taking part in the organization, the athletes themselves or the billions of fans and supporters across Asia, this partnership promises to put on a show which is not to be missed.
